Duties of the Superintendent of Schools

The superintendent serves as the board’s chief executive officer in administering district policies. He also advises the board on the needs and programs of the schools. The superintendent is a professional and his recommendations usually precede any board action related to the selection of professional staff, curriculum and instructional practices, school plant planning and financial operations.
The superintendent is appointed to a three, four or five year term.

2014/2015 Budget Presentation

The budget presentation below was created prior to the final budget so it does show a small tax increase.  That tax increase has been reduced and the School Board approved a budget with NO tax increase for the 2014-2015 school year.
