Your Special

Day!

A Webquest about the Day YOU Were Born

 By:  Mrs. Konyak

Introduction

“Oh…isn’t he so cute!  I could just pinch his cheeks!"
“Oh…look at that little one.  Her nose is so tiny!”
“Can I feed him?”
“Ah goo goo, gah gah…”

These are just some of the comments made the day you were brought home for everyone to see.  Babies are bundles of joy and everyone loves them!  Since you were soooo young back then, it is probably difficult for you to remember exactly what was going on in the world at that time.  Therefore,…you are about to embark on an adventure to learn what was happening the day you were born!

Task

Since this is not a group activity, you will each be completing your own webquest.  It is important to read all the instructions for each step and use the links provided to find your information.  As you gather your data, type it on your Power Point slides and save them!  Be sure to copy and paste some pictures that go along with your data.  The final part to this project will be to jazz up your Power Point presentation and include all of your pictures and data.

Process & Resources

Before You Start:

You will create a Time Capsule page and print it out from the website listed below.  This page will be used in many of the following steps.  You will store the page in the hand in bin in the classroom.  We will create the Time Capsule page together in class.
