  • Member of ACCESS PA (interlibrary loan service),

Special promotions:
  • Throughout the year various activities are held for Teen Read Week, Veteran's Day Celebration, Poetry Month and National Library Week.
  • Students can assist in the library during their club activity period. Library aide responsibilities include assisting library patrons with circulation, book processing, shelving library materials, and overall maintenance of the library.
  • Students in Grades 6-8 can compete in the Reading Olympic's sponsored by the Berks County School Librarian's Association.
  • A Fall book fair takes place in November.
Internet Surfing Suggestions:

  4. Be careful of some .com sites! Always check if the site is reliable.
  5. Consider the following:
  • Can the author or sponsoring organization be identified ?
  • Does it include a bibliography and additional links?
  • Are the words spelled correctly?
