Brandywine Heights Elementary School serves students in grades K-3, and offers curricula aligned with Pennsylvania Common Core academic standards. We feature a team approach to meeting developmental and academic needs of our students. Currently we have five Kindergarten classrooms, five 1st grade classrooms, four 2nd grade classrooms, and five 3rd grade classrooms. Our grade level classrooms are located in a similar proximity for team sharing ideas and student enrichment. We also have two learning support classrooms, one autistic classroom, three Title 1 teachers, one Talented and Gifted teacher, one Speech teacher, and a full time guidance counselor. We provide ESL services for those in need. In addition to our academic subjects, students have specials (technology, physical education, art, music, and library) and receive instruction in each of the these five areas once during each six day cycle. In technology, we are very proud that we are a 1:1 district. We have one device for every student/teacher. With the use of these computers, the instruction and learning for our students is limitless. Our PTC is very active supporting our students and teachers. They meet at 6:30 PM the first Wednesday of each month in the Elementary Library.
On Tuesday, October 13, 2015, 6pm, we held a Parent Math Night at the Elementary School. About 100 parents attended this academic night that was held in our cafeteria. We had 13 teachers Mrs. Adam, Ms. Dirsa, Ms. Grow, Mrs. Porr, Mrs. L. Savidge, Mrs. Condos, Mrs. Turner, Mrs. R. Savidge, Mrs. Hess, Mrs. Beekman, Mrs. Graber, Mrs. Ohl, and Ms. Murante who were able to share during the evening. The program was developed to show parents what math looks like in school using the PA Core Standards at each grade level (Kindergarten through Third Grade). An ST Math representative was in attendance. She explained how we use ST Math computer program as a supplement to our math program.

With ST Math, learning continues outside of school too, as teachers can assign specific math objectives in the software program for homework.
