🎵 The BHHS Marching Band dazzled with their music and costumes at the Elementary School Halloween Parade on Friday! 🎃 🎷 🥁
🎵 On October 14th, several high school choir students auditioned for Berks Senior County Chorus, a select festival ensemble made up of students from Berks County school districts. Six BHHS students qualified for the ensemble. 🎉 Congratulations to Gavin Geiger, Aaron Henszey, Ellis Kline, Emily Klopp, Adria Myers, and Chloe Parish for qualifying for Berks Senior County Chorus! This is a wonderful accomplishment, and we’re very proud of all students who auditioned! 🌟 🎶
🎵 Students in grades 3-5 attended the Music in the Schools assembly on Thursday, where they heard performances from talented musicians and learned about instruments in the string family. 🎻 Thank you to the Reading Musical Foundation for sponsoring this event! 🎼 ✨

🎵 On Friday, Mr. Rabenold’s AP Music Theory class saw Laufey in concert in Philadelphia. The concert was incredible, and everyone had a great time! ✨ 🕒 Laufey is a singer, instrumentalist, and songwriter who blends pop, jazz, bossa nova, and classical genres, and students in AP Music Theory are using her music to apply what they’re learning in class. 🎤 🎹 🎸 🎻
Today was Mr. Saltzburg’s last day at BHHS. Mr. Saltzburg has been the Director of Instrumental Music for the last 8+ years and also teaches 4th Grade Band and instrument lessons. Under his direction, BHHS bands have performed in Disney World, Gatlinburg, the PA State Capitol, and the 2021 Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade. He also brought in numerous clinicians to work with both the Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble. Most importantly, he has impacted so many students with his musical knowledge and encouragement (and sarcasm). Thank you for your countless hours and dedication to your students and the BH Music Department. We wish you the best!
