The BulletSTARS Monthly Student Award highlights those All-STARS within our IS/MS school community. These STARS display the character traits listed below.

S - Safety (Behaves in ways that ensure their own safety and the safety of others)
T - Teamwork (Be polite, thoughtful, and considerate of others and/or property)
A - Accountability (Demonstrates responsible decision-making)
R - Respect (Shows respect for themselves, peers, teachers, and the school)
S - Service (Contributes positively to the school community)

All these characteristics shape BulletSTARS. Every TWO months, we will focus on ONE letter of the STARS acronym. For the month of February, we focused on ACCOUNTABILITY.

Weather Update | 2-Hour Delay

Based on the forecast for snow and ice this morning, Brandywine Heights Area School District will operate on a 2-Hour Delay Tuesday, March 3rd.

Today’s assembly was a wild one—in the best way! Our fourth and fifth grade students had an unforgettable hands-on learning experience as they explored the fascinating world of reptiles. The highlight? Getting the chance to safely touch and interact with some incredible reptiles up close. There were brave smiles, wide eyes, and lots of “wows” around the room! A huge thank you to our special visitors from Forgotten Friend Reptile Sanctuary for making science come alive and inspiring our young learners to appreciate these amazing creatures.

Based on the forecast for high amounts of snow throughout the evening and night , the Brandywine Heights Area School District will be holding a Virtual Weather Day on Monday, February 23, 2026. The following is pertinent schedule information for the virtual snow day.
- A Virtual Schedule will be implemented, beginning at 8:30AM - 11:30AM for all students K-12.
- We would ask that any student who needs extra assistance or support in the afternoon should please email their teacher to set up a time and virtual link to meet.
- BCTC students please monitor plans sent from BCTC.
- For building-specific information relative to schedule, please visit our website.
- Physical offices will be closed; however, office staff will be working remotely and will be available.

At approximately 7:45 AM this morning, our Intermediate/Middle School identified a water main break near the tennis courts. Employees from Topton Borough and M&A Excavating (Dryville) responded quickly to support our Maintenance team in locating the break and begin repairs.

Because water service had to be shut off to the entire building, Intermediate and Middle School students were dismissed around 9:00 AM and continued learning virtually for the remainder of the day with instruction resuming at 10:30AM.

We sincerely thank our Intermediate/Middle School staff for their flexibility and professionalism, our IS/MS Parents & Guardians for your understanding and flexibility, and we greatly appreciate Topton Borough and M&A Excavating (Dryville) for their prompt assistance this morning.

Classes will resume as normal, starting tomorrow February 18th.

Weather Update | 2-Hour Delay

Due to extreme cold, the Brandywine Heights Area School District will operate on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, January 28; Thursday, January 29; and Friday, January 30.

The delay allows time for buses to warm, improved visibility for drivers, and safer conditions for students. This advance notice is to help families plan for the week.
