Roman did an excellent job as PRINCIPAL today! He did the morning announcements, checked out security cameras, saw some secret spaces in the school, visited classrooms, met with Mr. Potteiger and Mr. Farina, and more! ✏️

This year, the Middle School and High School Student Councils joined forces to organize a district-wide Food Drive that began in November and ran through December 8th, 2023. Student Council members from both MS & HS student council groups organized all donations and then packed beautifully gift-wrapped boxes with these items to be distributed to families as at the Brandywine Food Pantry for the holiday. Each box will include the following items: Holiday Napkins, Applesauce, Carrots, Peas, Corn, Sweet Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce, Fruit Juice, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Fruit Cocktail, Coffee/Cocoa, and Cookies Thank you to all families and students who donated items to this initiative. In addition, Thank you to Ms. Schwenk, Ms. Bleiler and all student council members for organizing an amazing way to give back to our community during the season of joy!

The Brandywine Heights Area School District will be operating under a two-hour delay today, December 11, 2023. A delay will allow for roads to be treated and a safer travel in daylight. Please visit the website for two-hour delay schedules.

Pre-K Price have been very busy this month learning all about nocturnal and diurnal animals and their specialized adaptations to help them live and work at night. We made bats and learned how they use echolocation. We made three different owls and learned how they have specialized eyes that can see in the dark. We celebrated everything nocturnal with a Pajama Day and took turns listening to stories inside a tent, using night lights and flashlights. On November 13, we celebrated World Kindness Day by sharing stories with each other about how we have been kind. Pre-K made a special class book of our kindness stories. We are learning through play in pre-k.
