This cycle in Explore, we are onto FALL STEM CHALLENGES! We are building scarecrows in hopes they scare away crows like in the book "Little Scarecrow Boy".
Please join us on Thursday, October 23, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Brandywine Heights Elementary School for our annual PreK-8 Family Literacy and Math Night.
This year, we will host a carnival-themed event with fun reading and math activities, games, and snacks.
We will also conduct our annual Title I Parent Informational Session during this event for parents and guardians of students currently receiving intervention support. This is a great opportunity to get to know our intervention staff and the support available for students this school year. If your child works with an intervention teacher, we recommend attending this event. Your involvement will contribute to the success of your child and the program.
Please RSVP using the QR Code to let us know how many people will be attending. We want to make sure we have snacks for all!

October Math Challenge!
We are excited to bring you another math challenge for October!! All students in Pre-K to Grade 3 are invited to participate! Students will be bringing home a math calendar. Throughout the month of October, we are challenging students to try to solve one math problem each day. Maybe they used the clock to tell the time, perhaps they counted how many plates they needed to set at the table for dinner, or maybe they compared the price of the same item at two different stores. Write the math problem that was solved on the calendar for that day. If 15 or more days are filled in for the month of October, then take the calendar to Potts’ Top Dog to receive a FREE HOT DOG AND ICE CREAM!!!!!

Second round of Fairytale Stem! This week Explore Class engineered a bed for little bear, houses out of consumable and non-consumable materials for the three little pigs, an escape for Rapunzel, and a cage to help Hansel and Gretel catch a witch!

Yay, yoga with Miss April! The children listened to a book about dinosaurs doing yoga, shared their own favorite dinosaur poses, and learned to breathe like baby dinosaurs. Thank you Miss April!
