Today STEM students from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade participated in the BCIU Keystone Competition! There were 21 teams that participated in the event. Their challenge was to create something that would make PA schools better. Our BULLET THINK TANK team placed 2nd place creating two prototypes of a robotic scanner that would scan for possible allergens in food and on surfaces. If found, the robots would dispose of the food and clean the surfaces making it safe for all. 🤖

In 3rd Grade Tech, students were learning how to insert and manipulate shapes in Google Slides via layering, recoloring, stretching, and shrinking techniques and keyboard shortcuts to recreate SpongeBob characters. For Kindergarten Tech, Ms. Dirsa’s kids are starting to familiarize themselves with the QWERTY keyboard layout via catching Wario in the act of stealing their keyboard keys. They would write the stolen letter on the Doodle Buddy app.
