We had an amazing first day celebrating Read Across America week! Mrs. Defibaugh, one of our very own Brandywine teachers, shared the process of publishing her book, "Sadie Travels East", with students at the elementary school. ✏️ We loved seeing all the students dressed up as their favorite book characters, too! 📚

Did you know that one of our BHASD teachers authored a children's book? Mrs. Defibaugh from BHMS will be kicking off our Read Across America week with a visit to the elementary school on Monday! She'll be sharing her book "Sadie Travels East" with BHES students. We are super excited to host one of our very own teachers!!

Yesterday was a BIG day in Explore! Our trout friends officially graduated! After weeks of growing and swimming in their cozy basket, they’re now big and strong enough to explore their new home. Watching them take this next step was so exciting!
To celebrate, we read a special story about fly fishing and trout written and illustrated by Mrs. Levengood’s cousin, Jon Trenge. What a perfect way to connect our Trout in the Classroom learning to real-world experiences!

Congratulations to this week's Bucket Fillers! Keep up the amazing work! 🪣 🎉

Miss April read "All Through the Crown" by Rachel Glowacki and practiced the basics of the energy/chakra system, colors of the rainbow, and body awareness. It was a wonderful lesson promoting emotional wellness and self-expression. Each child received their own crown and made their own bracelet using rainbow-colored beads. Thank you, Miss April!
