Second graders enjoyed their field trip to KU to see Janet's Planet. Students learned lots of space facts and loved participating in the trivia game and earning prizes! 🚀🔭

In Computers, Kindergarten was learning about the basic layout of the keyboard via singing a song, called the "QWERTY Song." We practiced it a cappella to start, then we sang it with music - slowly at first, then faster, and faster, getting our groove on in between each stanza🎵

Today kdg celebrated the 100th day of school! 🥳 We had a fashion show, searched for 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ Hershey kisses, had 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ licks of a lollipop, built towers with 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ cups and much more!
Mrs. Gangawere's class played money games. They can make "cents" of money!!
Second grade Explore students completed the ski build challenge! They had to use critical thinking to design, build and balance a skier to stand up on its skis! ⛷️

The Reading Royals Hockey Team is partnering with the BHASD Community for a night out with the Royals! The game is scheduled for this Friday, January 26th at 7pm at the Santander Arena. Dr. Price's Pre-K students have been lucky to have Miss Amber from the Topton Library visit our classroom and she always brings engaging stories! She introduces new books to our class and grows our love of reading! To add to our library experiences, Mrs. Lichtenwalner, from our own library, has included our Pre-K class in her Specials Schedule and brought a ton of fun to stories that relate to our curriculum. This month we listened to a story called, “The Jacket I Wear in The Snow” and many Pre-K students got to help her act it out. These experiences bring books to life and enrich our world. 📚
The Brandywine Heights Area School District will be operating under a two-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday January 17, 2024. A delay will allow for roads to be treated and safer travel in daylight.
