🍪 What a sweet success! Life Skills students and Friends Forever buddies hosted Cookie Day, baking and selling 900+ cookies to support Special Olympics of Pennsylvania. The hallways were filled with the smell of fresh cookies, lots of smiles, and even more fun. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special! 🍪

BHASD will be operating under a 2-hour delay tomorrow morning due to icy road conditions from blowing snow and cold temperatures.

delay
The Brandywine Heights Area School District will be operating under a two hour delay. Road conditions, particularly in the higher elevations, have areas where snow has turned to ice and are slippery. A delay will allow additional time to ensure there are safe travel conditions for the opening of school.

Role Models for Change

This fall, the Caron Education Alliance group Role Models for Change met for 8 weeks, sharpening their leadership skills and preparing an important presentation: Clear Facts About the Dangers of Vaping.

Many of our participants are active Key Club students, and they had the opportunity to share their knowledge with 7th grade health classes, helping to educate their peers about making healthy choices.

We’re so proud of these student leaders for using their voices to make a positive impact in our school community!

Our BHHS art club needs your help! Voting for 2025 Paint the Plow contest has started and we have a chance to win in our county. It would mean so much to our students, who worked very hard on their design, if you could cast a vote for Brandywine Height High School.

2025 Paint the Plow Voting form-->https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=QSiOQSgB1U2bbEf8Wpob3vze7lBiec9ErgfX2VH3OdlUMlk3SUI3RkdBSVFGNDc2OFlVUkE3SVI0SiQlQCN0PWcu

Paint the Plow is a PennDOT outreach program aimed at promoting winter driving safety and fostering appreciation for high school art programs and student creativity. Participating high school students design and create original artwork on a snowplow that showcases our 2025 Paint the Plow theme: Don’t race. Allow some space.  Our plow submission will be used to plow district roads throughout the winter, so keep an eye out for our artwork.

Thank you all so much. And a big thank you from BHHS Art Club for your votes🙂

❄️☃️The Brandywine Heights Area School District will be CLOSED tomorrow (Tuesday, December 2) due to the forecasted snow and wintry mix. Higher elevations in the District are expected to see increased snow and ice throughout the day.

Because of the long Thanksgiving break, Elementary students do not have devices at home, so a virtual learning day is not possible.

An update on after-school and evening activities—including the School Board meeting—will be shared by lunchtime tomorrow.

Stay warm and safe!

BCTC Health Occupations Students Gain Real-World Experience Across St. Luke’s Network: Madison Haring, a Brandywine Heights senior’s co-op learning experience is at St. Luke’s Care Now in Macungie. “One thing I love about co-op is all the hands-on experience. I get to work with patients every single day,” she said. Madison triaged patients and worked alongside nurses and physician assistants. “Working at St. Luke’s reinforced my decision to work in healthcare. I really love the experience.”

Great work, Madison! We are proud of you!
