Brinley Hess is our next senior spotlight! Brinley’s future plans include becoming a milk tester or continuing to work at the farm she has worked at for over four years now. She also plans to take online classes through Penn Foster to become a Veterinary Technician. Brinley’s favorite memory from high school was becoming a part of the FFA chapter at Kutztown and taking advantage of many opportunities there like earning awards, competing in public speaking competitions, and going to ACEs. Congratulations, Brinley!

We had some pretty special guests at our April 7 School Board meeting 💫
✨ Mrs. Donna Kline, our beloved High School Head Cook, was honored with a plaque recognizing her 31 years of dedicated service. From early mornings to lunch lines and everything in between — thank you for filling our hearts (and stomachs) for over three decades. You’ll be missed more than you know!
💥 We also celebrated our #NewHeights winners:
• Heidi Stufflet, Paraprofessional — praised for her kindness, reliability, and always going the extra mile to help her classroom #ReachNewHeights!
• Kelly Womack, K–3 STEM — known for her sincere heart, creative spirit, and unwavering support for both students and staff. A true rock star in every sense.
It’s moments like these that remind us how lucky we are at Brandywine Heights Area School District. 💙

In honor of Arbor Day, the 7th grade science students planted 14 new trees along our stretch of Toad Creek! 🌳 The planting is a continuation of the stream improvement plan which began last school year. Rooted in learning, growing a brighter future. ✨

Today was 8th Grade Transition Day at BHHS and we enjoyed giving a warm welcome to our future high school students! Students heard from current high schoolers attending BCTC, high school administrators, received a tour of the building, had a clubs/activities fair, and ended with an upperclassmen student panel. We hope you enjoyed your day and we can't wait to have you at the high school next year!

🐟 Trout in the Classroom Update!
Our little trout are thriving! These fry are now well into their growing stage—developing strong stripes and swimming with confidence. They'll be ready for their release into the wild by the end of May. 🏞️
Thanks to our students for helping raise the next generation of aquatic life—one splash at a time! 🌊

🛠️ “If you build it…”
Well, we are — and it’s looking good.
From fresh blacktop to towering lights and a scoreboard that’s ready for the spotlight, our stadium project is laying the groundwork for something legendary.

Miss McLean’s class had a deliciously educational day! 🥯🎨
They started their adventure with a behind-the-scenes tour of NY Bagelry, where they learned how bagels are made and explored the various career opportunities in the food industry. Afterward, the class visited the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts to check out the BCIU Art Show, where they admired incredible artwork created by talented high school students from across Berks County.

Graduation for the BHASD Class of 2025 will be held on June 2, 2025 at 6: 30 pm at Kutztown University in the O'Pake Fieldhouse, 15200 South Campus Drive, Kutztown, PA 19530. Tickets are required and doors will open to families at 5:45 pm. We look forward to this special event.

💥 NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES...
Some wear lanyards, rock spreadsheets, wrangle calendars, and somehow answer three phones while returning an email.
They're fast. They're focused. They're the behind-the-scenes warriors who keep the entire District running smoother than a brand-new copier.
🔥 Strength: Knowing the answer before you finish the question
⚡ Weakness: Empty pot of coffee
💪 Special Move: Turning chaos into calm
🎉 Happy Administrative Professionals Day!
You might not wear a cape, but trust us—we see your superpowers.

Happy Earth Day from Brandywine Heights Area School District! 🌱
Did you know? Just one mature tree can absorb up to 48 pounds of carbon dioxide a year and provide oxygen for two people! 🌳
Let’s keep growing, learning, and protecting the place we all call home—pick up a piece of trash, plant something green, or just take a moment to enjoy the sunshine ☀️

Our next Senior Spotlight is Devra Longacre. After graduation, Devra plans to further her education by attending an accredited, out-of-state dental hygiene program. Her favorite memory from BHASD was traveling out west on the National Parks Trip during the springtime of her junior year. Congratulations, Devra!
