Each year, we provide a suggested back-to-school supply list for families who are eager to take advantage of seasonal sales. Many families find that purchasing supplies during these sales is more cost-effective than what the District can provide, even through bulk purchasing.
This list is completely optional. We understand that financial situations vary, and no student will ever be expected to bring in supplies or be impacted if they can’t. This is simply an opportunity for those who wish to contribute, every student will have what they need to learn and succeed.
We’ve also worked to ensure that this year’s list is equitable and consistent across classrooms and grade levels. Families should not receive separate or additional lists from individual teachers once school begins. This version represents the final, agreed-upon list for the 2025-26 school year.
You can view the supply list here:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ji_dD83InOrgsjbR3kaS1d7AcUjyjfnLXZmCjX9xa-o/edit?tab=t.0
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We’re looking forward to a great year ahead!

Did you know Brandywine Heights Area School District got its start when four school districts joined forces in the 50's? This newspaper clipping from the Reading Eagle (May 1, 1954) shows the very beginning of what would become our current Intermediate/Middle School building—complete with a scale model and a BIG vision for the future.
🧮 The cost of construction? $1.3 million (that’s a lot of lunch money).
📍 Location? Right here in Topton—home of the Bullets.
📐 The goal? To build something together that would shape generations of learners.
From blueprints to backpacks... pretty incredible what a shared dream can become. 💭

The students may be away, but the work never takes a summer break!
Today we found Mr. Heffner locked in—literally—switching out locker combinations one by one to make sure everything is ready for the first day back.
It’s quiet in the halls now, but it won’t be for long—and thanks to behind-the-scenes prep like this, we’ll be ready.

Before school ended… guess what we released?
Take a closer look 👀
Can you spot what’s hiding in the grass?
🐟 Yes—trout fingerlings! Also called parr, these tiny fish use their stripes (called parr marks) to blend right into their surroundings. Camouflage level: expert.
Good luck out there, little swimmers!
