We are excited to announce that Camp SPARK registration is now open! Camp SPARK is a fun and engaging summer learning opportunity designed to keep students active, curious, and connected while school is out.

Students will participate in hands-on learning experiences, creative activities, and collaborative projects that spark curiosity and support continued growth throughout the summer.

📅 Dates: July 6 - July 23 (Monday - Thursday 9 AM - 12 PM)
📍 Location: Intermediate / Middle School
👧👦 Who Can Attend: Kindergarten - 8th grade

Spanish Club celebrated National Foreign Week March 2 through 6. Students from both German and Spanish classes shared videos with fun facts about learning languages on BBN. They ended the week with a successful homemade churro sale on Friday during lunches. The churros were muy delicioso!

Students in Spanish 1 classes have been learning food vocabulary. They put it to use by creating a menu from a Spanish speaking country. They learned about the currency of the country they chose, common dishes of the country, and then designed a menu with the information. They got to critique their classmates’ menus and vote for their favorite. ¡Nos gusta la comida!

Today was an exciting day in Miss McLean’s high school Life Skills class! Our students had the opportunity to participate in virtual reality career exploration simulations, where they explored real-world jobs in an interactive and hands-on way. Students chose from a wide range of careers and job tasks, then stepped into a virtual world to try them out for themselves. Some of the careers they explored included: 🔧 Changing the oil in a car (Automotive Service Technician) 🕵️ Collecting evidence from a crime scene (Forensic Science Technician) 🚧 Demolishing an overpass (Construction Laborer) 🐶 Caring for a dog with an ear infection (Veterinary Technician) 💉 Perform a blood draw (Phlebotomist) A huge thank you to Ms. Faye and Ms. Lisa from Goodwill for bringing the VR headsets and making this experience possible for our students. We truly appreciate community partnerships that help create meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities!

- A Virtual Schedule will be implemented, beginning at 8:30AM - 11:30AM for all students K-12.
- We would ask that any student who needs extra assistance or support in the afternoon should please email their teacher to set up a time and virtual link to meet.

Due to extreme cold, the Brandywine Heights Area School District will operate on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, January 28; Thursday, January 29; and Friday, January 30.

The delay allows time for buses to warm, improved visibility for drivers, and safer conditions for students. This advance notice is to help families plan for the week.
