Brinley Hess is our next senior spotlight! Brinley’s future plans include becoming a milk tester or continuing to work at the farm she has worked at for over four years now. She also plans to take online classes through Penn Foster to become a Veterinary Technician. Brinley’s favorite memory from high school was becoming a part of the FFA chapter at Kutztown and taking advantage of many opportunities there like earning awards, competing in public speaking competitions, and going to ACEs. Congratulations, Brinley!

We had some pretty special guests at our April 7 School Board meeting 💫 ✨ Mrs. Donna Kline, our beloved High School Head Cook, was honored with a plaque recognizing her 31 years of dedicated service. From early mornings to lunch lines and everything in between — thank you for filling our hearts (and stomachs) for over three decades. You’ll be missed more than you know! 💥 We also celebrated our #NewHeights winners: • Heidi Stufflet, Paraprofessional — praised for her kindness, reliability, and always going the extra mile to help her classroom #ReachNewHeights! • Kelly Womack, K–3 STEM — known for her sincere heart, creative spirit, and unwavering support for both students and staff. A true rock star in every sense. It’s moments like these that remind us how lucky we are at Brandywine Heights Area School District. 💙

Today was 8th Grade Transition Day at BHHS and we enjoyed giving a warm welcome to our future high school students! Students heard from current high schoolers attending BCTC, high school administrators, received a tour of the building, had a clubs/activities fair, and ended with an upperclassmen student panel. We hope you enjoyed your day and we can't wait to have you at the high school next year!

Miss McLean’s class had a deliciously educational day! 🥯🎨 They started their adventure with a behind-the-scenes tour of NY Bagelry, where they learned how bagels are made and explored the various career opportunities in the food industry. Afterward, the class visited the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts to check out the BCIU Art Show, where they admired incredible artwork created by talented high school students from across Berks County.

💥 NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES... Some wear lanyards, rock spreadsheets, wrangle calendars, and somehow answer three phones while returning an email. They're fast. They're focused. They're the behind-the-scenes warriors who keep the entire District running smoother than a brand-new copier. 🔥 Strength: Knowing the answer before you finish the question ⚡ Weakness: Empty pot of coffee 💪 Special Move: Turning chaos into calm 🎉 Happy Administrative Professionals Day! You might not wear a cape, but trust us—we see your superpowers.

📢The news is out! Thanks to Friends of Brandywine, kids won’t go hungry this summer. This is what community looks like—showing up, stepping in, and feeding futures. When grant funding for our summer meal program ran out, Friends of Brandywine didn’t miss a beat. They raised $40,000 (yes, forty thousand!) to keep the program going for the next two years—making sure our kids stay fed and cared for all summer long. Their support means bellies that might’ve gone empty this summer will be full instead. 💛 This is what community looks like. When one door closes, our people build another—and hold it open for everyone. We’re so lucky to be part of a place that shows up for its kids. Thank you, Friends of Brandywine. We’re beyond grateful. 📖 Read the full story: https://berksweekly.com/news/education/community-champions-raise-40k-to-keep-kids-fed-in-brandywine-heights/
