Serving Up a Slice of Knowledge...Happy Pi Day BHASD!🥧🎉 #PiDay #BHASD

🎨 Celebrating Youth Art Month: Elementary Edition! 🖌️
Creativity is in full swing at Brandywine Heights Area School District! Our elementary artists have been busy exploring textures, colors, and techniques, turning everyday materials into masterpieces. From bold black-and-white prints to vibrant abstract designs, their creativity knows no bounds!
Stay tuned as we continue showcasing student artwork throughout Youth Art Month—because every brushstroke tells a story! 🖍️✨

🎲 Jenga... but make it educational! Today in Freshman Seminar, we took this classic game and gave it a stress-related twist.
Students pulled a “stressor” card, each assigned a specific number of blocks to remove from the tower. Then, they evaluated how truly stressful their card was compared to others. In small groups, they ranked stressors from most to least stressful—but the real test?
👉 What actually made the tower fall? Was it the biggest stressor, or just the last one added? 🤯
To tie it all together, we introduced the phrase “the straw that broke the camel’s back”—helping students reflect on how stress builds up over time.
Great discussions, critical thinking, and a little friendly competition? Sounds like a win!

🐐💋 Kissing for a Cause
FFA put a fun spin on giving back! Students collected canned goods, dropping them into boxes labeled with their teachers’ names. The catch? The three teachers with the most donations had to kiss a goat!!
Turns out, Mrs. Paxson, Mrs. Bollinger, and Mr. Strohecker were the lucky winners! (Or unlucky, depending on how you feel about goat smooches.)
Huge thanks to everyone who donated—your support made a difference, and the goat didn’t seem to mind the extra attention either! 🥫🐐
