🐟 Trout in the Classroom Update! 🐟 Check out the latest from Mrs. Sheeler’s tank! Our trout have officially entered the fry stage, which means they’re swimming freely and starting to eat on their own. They’ve come a long way from their tiny alevin phase and are growing stronger every day! 🐸 Freshman Seminar Students Are “Frogging” the School! 🐸 As part of a hands-on lesson in hard and soft skills, Freshman Seminar students took on the challenge of folding origami frogs—a task that required patience, perseverance, and a growth mindset. Even when they struggled at first, they practiced, adjusted, and improved! But the lesson didn’t stop there. To build communication skills, students crafted properly formatted emails to let a staff member know they had been frogged! That means some teachers will find a colorful origami frog placed in their classroom by the end of the week. Through this experience, students connected their work to perseverance, resilience, attitude, focus, commitment, energy, and passion—all key traits for success in school and beyond!
