On October 10, 2023, the School Board Building Construction Committee hosted a community presentation to share highlights of the new proposed athletic stadium renovation project behind the High School. The Building Construction Committee has been leading the development of the High School stadium renovation plans in conjunction with our contracted architecture firm. Comprised of the communities’ elected School Board members, the Building Construction Committee plays a pivotal role in monitoring, advising, and providing input to the District during construction of approved projects. The current High School stadium plans that have been developed include a facelift to the field, irrigation system, new scoreboard, synthetic track and upgraded bleacher system. This project is the fourth and final construction phase of the long-range facility improvement projects.
The District and School Board of Directors had developed a long-range facility improvement plan which started in 2019. Since that time, a new roof was installed at the High School, the office entrance of the Elementary School was completely revamped along with a small addition to the building including a new gymnasium, revamped library setting and four new classroom spaces, a facelift of the common areas, hallways, cafeteria, and auditorium occurred at the Intermediate/Middle School building. The last phase of this long-range plan is to enhance the athletic/outside facilities. New lighting, field work and an irrigation system were installed at the Middle School field this past year.
