🌈 Kindness, Like a Rainbow After a Storm 🌈 That was this year’s inspiring theme for the Berks County Crime Alert poster contest—and our talented 4th graders brought it to life with creativity and heart. A big congrats to Payton Turner from Mrs. Hook’s homeroom for earning 2nd place! 🎉 Payton’s artwork stood out among entries across the county and earned her a $250 gift card and a special recognition at the April 19th Reading Phillies game. ⚾ Way to go, Payton! Students from Señora Warsing’s Spanish 4 and Señora Shoemaker’s Spanish 3 classes recently enjoyed a performance by the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet in Allentown. Dancers and musical performers from Spain and Latin America put on a show that included various styles of dance, many costume changes, the history of many of the dances presented in Spanish, and dance lessons for a few of our BHHS students. After enjoying the performance, the students enjoyed lunch at Plaza Azteca. It was a fun day of dancing, good food, and practicing español!

The Middle School K’Nex club recently traveled to the Berks County Intermediate Unit to participate in the 2025 STEM Design Challenge. Students were tasked to focus on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (UN Sustainable Development Goal 9) by designing a prototype that addresses a real-world problem related to infrastructure, transportation, or urban development. The goal is to inspire students to think about how cities, roads, bridges, and systems can be built or improved to be more efficient, sustainable, and accessible. Overall, the students did a great job!
