Pre-K Counts Enrollment is Open!
Brandywine Heights Area School District, in partnership with BCIU, will offer two Pre-K Counts classrooms for the 2025-2026 school year, providing free, high-quality early learning for 32 students.
📌 Who qualifies?
-Children ages 3–4 (until kindergarten entry age)
-Families earning up to 300% of the federal poverty level (ex: $96,450 for a family of four)
-Children who may be English language learners or have special needs
📅 How to Apply
-Submit a Pre-K Counts application and required documents to registration@bhasd.org. More details and application materials can be found HERE: https://www.bhasd.org/o/bhes/page/pre-k-counts.
Families will be notified of enrollment status the week of March 17.

Social Media TestDrive is an interactive online simulation designed for students aged 9-13 to safely learn and practice digital literacy and citizenship skills—before they go live! This is a great opportunity to help young learners build smart and responsible online habits.

🐟 Big news from the tank! Our trout have officially entered the alevin stage! 🎉 Right now, they’re still hanging out with their yolk sacs, which provide all the nutrients they need to grow. They’re not swimming just yet, but they’re busy developing into strong, healthy fry. For now, we’re keeping the water clean, oxygenated, and disturbance-free to give them the best start. Our Life Skills students have been practicing making phone calls, and today they put their skills to the test—ordering takeout from Jak’s! 🎉 Each student called the restaurant, placed their own order, and even handled payment and pickup. A hands-on lesson that ended with a delicious reward! 👏

Last week, the boys' basketball team took a moment to honor the amazing educators who’ve made a lasting impact on their lives. The players presented their travel jersey to a teacher who inspired, guided, or supported them on and off the court.

Brandywine Heights Area School District will receive sealed bids at 200 West Weis Street, Topton, Pennsylvania 19562 in the Business Office, until 11:00 AM prevailing time on February 20, 2025 for lawn mowing services. Bids will be opened and publicly read. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing of the receipt of the bid.
